We are currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified FRA Carpenter to join our Property Team in our Southampton/South Hampshire locality. You will spend a fair amount of time on the road and will be provided with a business-use van and fuel card to cover your travel expenses.
What you'll do
- As an FRA Carpenter you will carry out fire risk assessment (FRA) related carpentry in our properties as part of our FRA Property Team and elsewhere depending on demands.
- Duties include upgrading and refurbishing existing fire doors, building electrical meter cupboards, and ensuring all carpentry works meet strict standards for fire resistance and safety.
What you'll need
- You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector, and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Fire Door Maintenance and Repairs.
- You need a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices and an enjoyment of working as part of a team.
- This is a full‑time role, working 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call‑out and overtime at competitive rates.
- Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of one year experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
- This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check and essential qualifications check.
