We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Community Investment and Strategic Partnerships Team as Project Officer on a fixed term basis for 6 months, until December 2026. A minimum of 2 days per week in the office and in our communities and we're flexible on your base location which can be either Basingstoke, Greenham or The Hive.

The Role

Reporting to the #iWill Project Manager, the role will support the administration of and the management of our relationships with external funders, community partners and a variety of other stakeholders, and requires excellent inter-personal and partnership skills, and a strong ability to collaborate effectively for maximum demonstrable impact. You’ll support the performance monitoring and management of partners, collate KPI, support the compliance of the #iWill external funded contract, managing, monitoring and evaluating all delivery under the programme.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will be expected to travel across SNG geography where needed to facilitate events, visit partners and attend team meetings as and when required.
  • Supporting the allocation of the SNG #iWill fund in line with best practice and governance, including setting up a panel in partnership with young people and other colleagues at SNG.
  • Support the set-up and delivery of grant panels, organising attendees, managing scoring processes, participating in panel discussion and supporting the finalisation of funding decisions.
  • Identifying and supporting the creation of impact stories and creative media to highlight the impact of the #iWill programme, adhering to SNG and TNLCF comms and marketing guidelines.
  • Lead event organisation including health and safety risk assessment compilation and full compliance and logistical arrangements.
  • Support the project manager to compile all data required to submit the TNLCF report.
  • Compile quarterly KPI data for SNG Community Foundation data reporting, including cross-team KPI's and social value reporting.
  • Support with general administration tasks.

What you'll need

You should have experience in a similar role, coordinating and delivering on project activity. You'll also need previous experience in communities or social action. You'll also have:

  • A keen ability to optimise the use of social media and create engaging and impactful content.
  • Excellent IT Skills including Excel, Word and PPT.
  • Experience of stakeholder relationship building and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of what high quality youth engagement is and the principles of youth social action.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for delivering excellent customer services and achieving targets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
