SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in England. We provide 86,000 homes and invest in communities across London, the South East, South West and East of England, as well as aiming to create thousands of new affordable homes every year. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data Privacy Analyst to join our Data Privacy team in Basingstoke. You’ll take our hybrid approach of working from home, and in the office 2 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with data protection experience who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and delivering a high-quality customer-focused service with a collaborative approach.
What you'll be doing:
- Act as a key point of contact for data subjects, managing and responding to Data Subject Rights Requests (DSRs).
- Support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Deputy DPO in maintaining compliance with data protection legislation.
- Provide guidance and advice to colleagues on data protection requirements and best practice.
- Help investigate and escalate data protection incidents and potential breaches.
- Maintain data protection records, registers, policies, and compliance documentation.
- Support the delivery of privacy training, communications, and awareness initiatives across the business.
- Work collaboratively with teams across SNG to embed a strong culture of data protection and privacy.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working in a Data Protection, Privacy, Compliance, Governance, or similar environment.
- Good understanding of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and data subject rights.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgement, discretion, and a strong commitment to customer service.
