We have an opportunity for an Insurance Officer to join our team in Basingstoke. This is a full time permanent role with a mix of home and office working. The starting salary is £31,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.

The Role: Our Insurance Officers are responsible for maintaining all aspects of SNG's external and internal insurance arrangements and relationships. You'll be the main point of contact for our insurers, broker, and fleet managers and you will be providing expert insurance advice to all of our directorates. Your role will include gathering all the information required for our annual insurance renewal and contributing to managing the renewals process. You'll provide a claims administration service which involves the collection of information and liaising with directorates, insurers, and other external agencies to ensure that claims are managed in a timely manner and with the interests of SNG in mind.

What we need from you: As an Insurance Officer, you'll need a good understanding of how insurance and risk management works and have the ability to apply them in an organisation. You'll also need a familiarity with UK insurance regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage insurance data for decision-making.
  • A strong ability to question information, analyse behaviours, and determine root causes of problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex insurance information clearly.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, insurers, brokers, and regulatory bodies.
