We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as a Build to Rent Property Manager on a fixed term basis for 12 months. You'll be based from our office in either Wembley - London or Hertfordshire. This role will combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance. It's a really exciting time to join us as Sovereign have joined forces with Network Homes to form SNG (Sovereign Network Group). Together we provide over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England - our purpose being to provide quality affordable homes and places that people love for generations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide high quality service delivery to Build to Rent and London Living Rent customers.
  • Work with the Senior Build to Rent Manager and other team members to lease and manage rental apartments while providing residents with a high-quality customer experience.
  • Manage all pre and post tenancy activities including customer vetting and referencing, pre-tenancy inspections and check ins/signups, post tenancy inspection and deposit releases.
  • Manage voids and relets by instituting programmes to limit void periods and increase turnaround times on re-lets and renewals.
  • Employ disciplined budgetary management including the scrutinising of all costs and the processing of invoices related to scheme contractual obligations, repairs and utilities.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance in both communal areas and individual apartments ensuring that repairs are completed on-time and with the minimum amount of inconvenience to our residents.
  • Manage the on-site teams that may include the Assistant Property Manager, handyman, concierge and cleaning operatives.
  • Lead on rent collection and debt recovery on managed schemes and work with the Senior Built to Rent Manager to commence enforcement action where necessary.
  • Prepare mobilisation and lease up plans for new developments that capture all operational and marketing tasks needed for a successful launch, lease up and occupation of individual schemes.

What we need from you:

  • Knowledge of lettings and property management in the private sector.
  • Knowledge of the Build to Rent & London Living Rent tenure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of Housing legislation and Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
  • Ability to manage staff.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations and effectively manage conflicts and disputes.
