p Position: Supported Internship Tutor Job Coach /p p Location: Reading /p p Salary: £29,963 - £32,982 /p p br /p p strong The Role /strong /p p Are you passionate about inclusive education and preparing young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) for the world of work? Do you have the skills to deliver engaging employability teaching and tailored one-to-one support? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. /p p br /p p We are seeking a Supported Internship Tutor to join our Supported Internship programme in High Wycombe. In this vital role, you will plan and deliver classroom learning to interns, support them in gaining Pearson’s Employability Work Skills accreditation, and ensure they are fully prepared for successful progression into employment. You will also collaborate with employers, local authorities, families, and job coaches to ensure every intern receives the support they need. /p p br /p p strong Main Duties and Responsibilities /strong /p ul li Deliver classroom and remote teaching sessions /li li Develop and assess Pearson’s Employability Work Skills portfolios with each intern /li li Design and deliver individual learning plans and transition plans /li li Provide 1:1 tuition and emotional/social support as needed /li li Coordinate recruitment and educational assessments for interns joining the programme /li li Work closely with local authorities, employers, families, and job coaches to ensure integrated support and successful progression /li li Attend host employer inductions and plan job modifications with workplace managers /li li Support interns in securing letters of recommendation and preparing for future employment /li li Maintain accurate records and contribute to internal quality assurance /li li Promote safeguarding, equality, and health and safety in all activities /li li Work with SI job coach and with department managers to develop internship sites, write job descriptions and plan for necessary job modifications /li li Work with parents, the local authority and other supported internship stakeholders to support the progression of the interns /li li Carry out job coaching as required /li /ul p br /p p strong Skills, Experience and Qualification /strong /p p br /p p strong Experience /strong /p ul li A proven track record of successfully supporting young people with SEND /li li Experience delivering group learning and one-to-one coaching /li li Experience developing learning plans and tracking progress /li li Strong IT, administration, and organisational skills /li li NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Careers Education, Young Adults Work, or Social Care (or working towards) - Desirable /li li Flexible, positive and solutions-focused approach /li li Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders /li li Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team /li li Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting equality and inclusion /li li Experience in the employment and skills sector /li li Understanding of employment law, disability legislation and welfare benefits /li li Knowledge of current SEND education and employment pathways /li /ul p br /p
