About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated IPS Employment Specialist to deliver high-quality Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and other complex barriers to employment. This role focuses on supporting participants into competitive and sustainable employment through a "place then train" approach. You will provide rapid job search support, employer engagement and ongoing in-work support in line with IPS fidelity principles. Working collaboratively with employers, NHS services, Jobcentre Plus, local authorities and community organisations, you will deliver personalised, strengths-based support that improves employment outcomes and long-term progression opportunities for participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants in line with IPS fidelity standards (typically 20–25 participants)
- Conduct strengths-based vocational profiling to identify goals, skills, preferences and support needs
- Support participants with CV writing, interview preparation and job applications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers
- Promote inclusive recruitment practices and support participants with reasonable adjustments
- Deliver ongoing in-work support to ensure sustained employment outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and update CRM systems in line with compliance requirements
