The Role

Join us as a Job Coach and make a lasting impact through one of the UK’s leading Supported Internship programmes. As a Job Coach, you’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team delivering tailored support to interns placed in real work environments. You’ll coach and mentor young adults aged 16–24 with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), helping them thrive in the workplace and build the skills they need for independent employment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing on-the-job coaching and one-to-one support at host businesses
- Supporting students with job preparation, interviews, travel training and workplace behaviour
- Collaborating with employers, tutors, families and professionals to ensure each intern’s success
- Promoting disability awareness and inclusive practice with host businesses
- Applying for Access to Work and advising on basic benefits and expenses
- Helping plan and deliver induction, open days, graduation events and outreach activities
- Keeping accurate records, supporting risk and safeguarding processes, and attending training
Skills & Experience
- Willingness to complete Level 3 Supported Employment qualification
- Experience supporting individuals with SEND into employment
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
- Confident in using IT tools and managing caseloads
- A proactive, flexible and person-centred approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
