  • About this Role

The White Horse Federation is seeking an experienced and proactive Field HR Manager to join our dedicated Field HR Team, working closely with and receiving ongoing support from the Senior Field HR Manager.

As a Field HR Manager, you will work directly with Headteachers and senior leaders across our schools, acting as a trusted HR partner and providing comprehensive advice on people matters.

You will manage employee relations cases, advise on employment legislation, Trust policies, and support leaders in making informed decisions.

You will also collaborate with Central HR Services teams on payroll, recruitment, larger HR projects and contribute to delivering a customer‑focused HR service.

  • An experienced HR professional with a solid understanding of employee relations matters such as absence management, flexible working, family leave, probation and performance; and experience supporting operational HR in areas like payroll, recruitment, TUPE processes and broader HR projects.
  • Confident in providing practical, solution-focused advice to leaders and employees.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, with excellent planning skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and building productive partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office, Teams and other HR systems to maintain accurate records and case management information.
  • Committed to equality, inclusion and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Able to travel to various school sites, with access to a car for business use (mileage expenses between schools can be claimed).
  • Able to work on-site at our Central Offices in Swindon when not visiting schools.
