In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Director of Governance to ensure our governance frameworks, processes, and documentation meet all statutory, regulatory, and best‑practice standards. You will play a key role in maintaining excellence, consistency, and compliance across our schools.

We Are Looking For a Candidate Who Can
- Support the development, effectiveness and consistency of Local Governance Committees across the Trust, working closely with Chairs, Headteachers and the Director of Governance.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to LGC Chairs and members on governance roles, responsibilities, constitutional matters and effective practice.
- Act as Clerk to a defined number of Local Governance Committees, providing a professional, high-quality clerking service.
- Support the Director of Governance in providing assurance to Trustees and senior leaders that local governance arrangements are effective and compliant.
- Provide advice and practical support on complex or sensitive governance matters at local level, including exclusion panels.
- Work closely with the Director of Governance to develop governance documentation, templates, guidance and training materials.
- Commit to ongoing professional development in governance, clerking and regulatory compliance.
