My client is the UK's favourite parcel delivery expert. They are looking to hire a number of staff for their warehouse at their depot in Burgess Hill. This is on a permanent employed basis and comes with a full range of company benefits including excellent contributory pension (with company contributions to match), free parking, and a state-of-the-art wellness programme, and career opportunities.
No experience is necessary (although it is welcome!), but the main requirements are commitment, flexibility, willingness to learn, and a good level of physical fitness since manual handling of heavy parcels is a part of the job.
Duties include:
- Ensuring the conveyer-belt keeps running
- Unloading lorries
- Moving parcels around the depot to ensure they get to the right driver quickly
Working hours are either 1.00am to 9.30am, or 12.00pm to 8.30pm. In all cases it's a 40 hour week. There is an unsocial hours payment for work between midnight and 6.00am, and excellent rates for overtime.
