Due to business restructuring, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated working farm manager to take responsibility for the day to day management of Southwick Farms’ 250 suckler cows, 1200 breeding ewes and 200 acre arable enterprise.
Ideally the successful candidate should have:

Experience and a good knowledge of beef and sheep husbandry and enjoy working with livestock

Knowledge of arable cropping including winter barley and spring barley

An interest in regenerative agriculture

Hands-on experience of farm machinery operation and maintenance

Strong problem solving skills and negotiating abilities

The skills to manage, guide and motivate the farm team

An excellent remuneration package is offered and includes a vehicle. Southwick is located near New Abbey, Dumfries and a recently fully renovated house is available if required.
