St Andrew & St Mark, Surbiton are two churches in one parish where people of all faiths and none are welcomed to explore the meaning of Christianity. We are traditional in our liturgy, with a strong Eucharistic and musical tradition, but liberal in our theology and proud to be part of the Inclusive Church network.
We are praying for a priest who:
- Has a faith rooted in the Christian fundamentals of love and forgiveness;
- Is supportive of the principles of Inclusive Church;
- Enjoys preaching theologically and spiritually stimulating sermons;
- Has spiritual and emotional support mechanisms in place;
- Enjoys working with articulate parishioners with varied viewpoints;
- Is willing to talk about money;
- Embraces the diverse needs of the whole parish community;
- Enjoys life and takes full advantage of holiday entitlement.
Applicants must have served a title post in an Anglican church in the British Isles. We aim to be a diverse and truly representative Diocese, and particularly welcome applications from people of UKME heritage. This post is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure.
