About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you\’ll be a key player in shaping positive change. Collaborate closely with the Registered Manager to establish and manage an innovative 5-bedded children’s home supporting young people. Backed by a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, education advisers from the virtual school, health professionals and social workers; you\’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of those under your care.

  • Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to establish and manage a new service for children.
  • Directly lead Team Leaders, ensuring motivation, development, and nurturing.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, education advisers from the virtual school, health professionals and social workers.
  • Maintain high standards of care and a culture for your team to excel.
  • Assist the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a positive and empowering environment for young people and your team.
  • Develop a child centred, outcome focused home where children and young people can thrive.
  • Requirements of the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a residential setting.
  • QCF Level 4 Children, Young People and Family Practitioner Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of childcare, child development, and the impact of trauma.
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED legislation.
  • Proven track record supporting young people with EBD.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shift patterns.
  • Able to deputise for the Registered Manager
  • Experience of supervising staff
