As a Senior EHCP Coordinator, you will play a critical role in leading and supporting high‑quality SEND practice across the service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a complex caseload of Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and plans, ensuring quality, timeliness, and lawful decision‑making.
- Providing senior oversight, guidance, and mentoring to SEND Coordinators, supporting consistent and confident practice.
- Leading on complex cases, escalations, and multi‑agency problem‑solving with families, schools, and partner agencies.
- Contributing to service improvement through quality assurance, reflective practice, and performance oversight.
- Working collaboratively across education, health, and social care to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
You will be an experienced SEND professional with a strong commitment to collaborative, child‑centred practice. You will bring:
- Significant experience working within SEND, including EHC needs assessments and planning.
- A strong understanding of SEND legislation, statutory processes, and best practice.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and make confident, lawful, and child‑focused decisions.
- Experience of supporting, mentoring, or leading colleagues within a SEND or related service.

Hours of work: 36 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Permanent position. This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at Enhanced – Adults and Children (Barred) level.
