About the Role

Southwark Music is looking for a passionate and dedicated Communications Manager to handle internal and external communication and support key projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Plan and deliver targeted communication campaigns for key projects.
  • Produce engaging and accessible content across multiple platforms, including website, social media, email and digital channels.
  • Act as the main point of contact for communication within the service.
  • Support strategic objectives by connecting schools, young people, families and partners through effective messaging.

About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and organised, with a strong ability to communicate effectively.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managing digital content and communication channels.
  • Ability to plan and deliver targeted campaigns.
  • Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, part‑time position (10.75 hours per week). Successful applicant must be available to work Thursdays and one additional half‑day, and will receive DBS clearance (Enhanced – Adults and Children (Barred) level).
