What the Job Involves

The role involves assisting in delivering an effective and efficient Highways service, aligned with service, legislative, and council policy requirements. You will conduct inspections and reporting of the public highway, including structures, drainage, and lighting, submitting defect reports through digital systems. You'll manage work instructions and respond to emergencies, coordinating activities and issuing works orders to contractors. Responsibilities include monitoring illegal or unsafe work sites, liaising with statutory utilities, investigating incidents, and providing court evidence as required.
