About The Role
Consultant Social Worker to support families and foster/adoptants, lead team, reduce race disparity. Key responsibilities include:
- Deputise for the team manager when absent.
- Quality assure work to ensure good standard and meets timescales.
- Lead and coordinate areas such as contact arrangements, training for partner agencies and support for adopters and birth parents.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to colleagues and partners.
- Hold a limited caseload.
- Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports.
- Contribute to periodic reports.
- Represent the service at meetings and forums.
- Contribute to modernisation of adoption agenda.
About You
- Qualified with ASYE, at least 3 years' experience.
- Experience managing staff and leading projects.
- Understanding of post-adoption contact and support.
- Skilled at building positive relationships with diverse families and professionals.
- Committed to anti-racist and inclusive practice and reducing race disparity in adoption.
- Confident using Mosaic Case Management systems and Excel.
- Knowledgeable in childcare and adoption legislation and statutory guidance.
- Open to personal development and keen to develop group work and training skills.
