  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, with the ability to support and coach others in using these applications.
  • The ability to quickly develop and apply an understanding of relevant building safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety Act 2021, and how these requirements apply within a local authority housing service.
  • A positive and constructive approach to teamwork, with a commitment to supporting colleagues and delivering excellent service outcomes.

Contract Type: This opportunity is available as a fixed-term contract for an external appointee or an internal secondment for an existing Southwark employee, until 31 May 2027, providing temporary cover while the substantive postholder is on secondment. There is potential to extend, however there is no confirmed extension at present. Any potential extension would depend upon the substantive postholder’s secondment being extended and would be subject to the necessary approval.
