LONDON WELLNESS ACADEMY – Spa Therapist
Massage Therapists administer professional massage and body treatments to our onboard guests. The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of various massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments, and be willing to train in our specific massage and body treatment offerings. Excellent communication skills are required, and the candidate must be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must be qualified in Swedish massage with at least 150 hours of certified training.
- Any additional qualifications like aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Reiki, or Sports Massage Therapy are a great advantage.
- All nationalities must have a certificate/diploma.

MASSAGE THERAPY QUALIFICATION
Graduates from the London Wellness Academy are highly sought after by employers in the spa and wellness industry. We are the perfect choice for anyone looking to pursue a rewarding career in luxury spas around the world. A Diploma in Swedish Massage including the anatomy and physiology of the body is absolutely necessary. Any other courses like reflexology, Indian head massage, or aromatherapy is beneficial to your application, but not essential.
JOB PLACEMENTS ON CRUISE SHIPS
We recruit worldwide. After successfully passing your LWA Interview you will then be expected to attend our intensive training program in London or one of our centres located around the world where we will push you to your limits. During training, you’ll be assessed carefully on your performance and your training results will determine your ship. We work with the most prestigious cruise lines in the world to secure our student’s employment following their graduation. We are currently seeking Massage Therapists to work onboard over 200 cruise ships currently at sea worldwide.

Salaries for massage therapists working onboard will vary greatly depending on how hard you work. This job allows you to demand your own wage as it comes with uncapped commissions.
