Join Southport Education Group as a Teacher at The Bridge. Teach. Support. Transform Lives. Southport Education Group is looking for three full-time inspirational teachers to join The Bridge, our new specialist provision for young people with additional needs who have not been able to thrive in mainstream education. This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact—helping learners rebuild confidence, develop life and vocational skills, and take positive steps towards further education or employment. At The Bridge, every lesson is an opportunity to change the direction of a young person's life.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet learners' academic and developmental needs
  • Contribute to a holistic curriculum that blends academic, vocational, and therapeutic approaches
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student wellbeing and progress
  • Build strong relationships with learners, families, schools, and external agencies
  • Create a calm, nurturing, and consistent learning environment where students feel safe and valued

Qualifications and what we are looking for

We are looking for teachers with empathy, patience, and resilience—teachers who believe in the potential of every young person and understand how to build trust, motivation, and self-belief. Experience working in SEND or alternative provision is essential.
