The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated team manager to lead our Digital Clinical Hub at Southport and Formby Primary Care Network (PCN). This role is essential in supporting GP practices within our network by managing and processing clinical correspondence remotely. The successful candidate will manage a team of four team leaders and their 10+ staff, with potential for further expansion. Responsibilities include accurate coding of relevant information and escalation of necessary documents for further management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing improvement and innovation of our services.

Although advertised as full‑time, hours between 30‑37.5 hours will be considered for part‑time applicants. Successful applicants will be asked to attend an interview on Monday 19th January. Please contact Louise Sproat if you would like more information regarding the role.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Digital Clinical Hub: Oversee processing of clinical correspondence for all aligned Southport and Formby GP practices.
  • Utilise EMIS functionality: Ensure efficient and accurate recording of clinical information using EMIS software.
  • Line management: Provide leadership and people management to the team of Digital Clinical Hub Care Coordinator team leads.
  • Reporting: Deliver service reports to Southport and Formby PCN, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other monitoring requirements.
  • Team development: Support the team in accessing relevant training, development, and supervision sessions.
  • Resource management: Assist in creation and management of EMIS resources for the digital hub.
  • Liaison and communication: Maintain continuous communication and engagement with PCN practices and other stakeholders via steering group and wider group meetings.

This is an evolving role within the PCN, and additional responsibilities will be added over time as the service evolves.

Essential Qualifications
  • Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Educated to GCSE or A Level standard in English and Maths.
  • Enrolled in, willing to undertake, or previously completed the Personalised Care Institute training.
  • Evidence of continued personal development.
  • Knowledge of clinical coding standards and best practices.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in healthcare.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with EMIS clinical software.
  • Experience in complex administrative procedures.
  • Experience of working in a primary care setting.
  • Experience of carrying out people management processes and leading a team.
  • Experience of managing and planning rotas and workforce.
  • Experience with data management and quality assurance.
  • Experience using EMIS resource publisher, population reporting and the creation of protocols, concepts, and templates.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work well under pressure, and support team members as required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and lead by example within a managerial role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues from a wide variety of healthcare professions and diverse groups.
  • Able to build network links with external organisations as an ambassador for the Primary Care Network.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, proactive and innovative approach to problem‑solving.
  • Commitment to high‑quality care and service improvement.
  • Desire to continually learn and develop professionally.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, Python or others.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £16‑£18 an hour depending on experience.
  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Working pattern: Full‑time (30‑37.5 hours considered for part‑time).
