As a Cover Teacher, no two days are the same, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continuity, stability and high-quality learning for our pupils, whether covering staff absence, PPA or enrichment activities.

About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and responsive teaching, and who can confidently step into different classroom environments.
As a SEND Cover Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of classes and age groups
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning, communication and sensory needs
- Follow and adjust lesson plans to ensure continuity of learning
- Support pupil wellbeing, behaviour and emotional regulation using established strategies
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider staff to ensure every child succeeds
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent and adaptable classroom practitioner with high expectations
- Has experience of, or a strong interest in, working with children with SEND
- Can quickly build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Is flexible, resilient and solution-focused
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to school life
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Desirable to have experience within a SEND or specialist setting and knowledge of autism and communication strategies
