Special Sits Trading and Sourcing Team Southey\’s trading and sourcing team is a Capital Markets desk that sits within Special Situations. The desk provides cross-asset pricing and trading solutions to both Investors and Asset Managers. Using our own balance sheet, we are able to move quickly and decisively to offer solutions, whilst our years of presence in the market provide us with long-term relationships to support our strategies. The team has a strong background in credit analysis, accounting, legal, credit management, and restructuring, acquired over many years spent with major Investment Banks and Consultancy firms across EMEA. Role: Special Sits Trading and Sourcing Director The candidate will be a member of the Trading and Sourcing Team. The position will involve daily coverage of Distressed and Special Sits with clients either from a geographic perspective or holders of a particular credit. Key responsibilities include: Speaking daily with a variety of holder types from equity fund managers to traditional banks. Creating and maintaining regular dialogue with clients through sharing of market information and price runs. Looking at market developments to anticipate new special events and find and price them, in partnership with the desk and colleagues. The position will be based in London. Experience Required At least 5 years experience at a Bank/Broker in a sales role. Deep knowledge of trading OTC securities (loans, claims, fund units).
