About the Role

We’re transforming our Operational Control Centre and are looking for a Water Production Controller to join our diverse team. Controllers are the backbone of our water and wastewater services, ensuring a continuous supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to 1.2 million customers across a water-stressed region. As a Water Production Controller, you’ll work in our Durrington office as part of a 24/7 team, monitoring telemetry systems, managing alarms, making network changes, and coordinating field teams to keep water flowing. This is a critical role where problem-solving, analytical thinking, and confidence with IT systems are key.

Shift Summary

  • Average Weekly Hours: 28 hours per week
  • Annual Leave: Built into your rotation
  • Shift Pattern: 6-week cycle of 12-hour shifts includes day and night rotations:
    • 3 days on → 7 days off
    • 4 days on → 7 days off
    • 3 nights on → 7 days off
    • 4 nights on → 7 days off
  • Additional Duties: Some standby periods and extra cover may be required, which will be discussed during the interview.

Location Requirement

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Live within approximately one hour’s commute of our Durrington office, or
  • Are willing to relocate if successful.
