About the role
Join us as a Reporting and Data Automation Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract, where you’ll play a central role in ensuring our business meets its regulatory obligations to Ofwat, the Environment Agency, and other key industry bodies. You'll be instrumental in transforming how we manage, automate, and deliver high quality regulatory reporting across the organisation. Working closely with teams in Corporate, Finance, Environmental Compliance, Digital, and Data Governance, you’ll help modernise reporting processes, strengthen data integrity, and support the wider digital transformation of the regulatory function.
What you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports, including support for the Annual Performance Report (APR) and Customer Experience (CMEX).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and other statutory reporting frameworks.
- Maintain a portfolio of reporting and data processing jobs which support business critical outcomes.
- Develop automated reporting solutions using Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Python or RPA tools.
- Build dashboards and data pipelines to support real-time monitoring of KPIs.
- Maintain audit trails, internal controls, and documentation for all submissions.
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and quality-check data.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and support digital transformation initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the role
Essential
- Strong experience with tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Excel and Access.
- Demonstrable experience in reporting, automation, and solving business problems using data.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including requirements gathering and codesign.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and compliance frameworks.
Desirable
- Experience migrating data to cloud solution, e.g. Azure, Databricks.
- Experience within utilities or a regulated industry.
- Academic qualifications in a STEM field.
- Experience mentoring or coaching analysts.
