About the role
Join our Wastewater Treatment Team to maintain and repair wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations. Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.
What you will be responsible for:
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment across wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations.
- Install and commission new plant and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Respond to alarms and diagnose faults, carrying out repairs or escalating issues promptly to minimise downtime and environmental impact.
- Perform inspection and testing on both mechanical and electrical systems, following company procedures and statutory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Accurately update company systems and databases with maintenance records, fault reports, and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and environmental performance.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential- Level 3 NVQ Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification with certificates.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to Internal and External contractors.
- Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work and working in a constantly changing environment.
- Experience in water industry.
- Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
