The predicted salary is between 40860 - 48510 £ per year.

Location: Otterbourne, Hampshire - you will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours 8:00-16:30 Monday to Wednesday & 15:30 finish on Thursday & Friday

Salary: Base pay ranges £40,860.92 up to £48,509.64 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

About the role

Join our Water Supply Team, to play a vital part in the frontline of our day-to-day maintenance of, and repairs to, Water supply works, reservoirs and booster stations to ensure all environmental, quality and customer service standards are met, whilst meeting H&S legislation and achieving budgetary targets.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, starters, and variable speed drives.
  • Install and commission new plant and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Respond to alarms and diagnose faults, carrying out repairs or escalating issues promptly to minimise downtime and environmental impact.
  • Perform inspection and testing on both mechanical and electrical systems, following company procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately update company systems and databases with maintenance records, fault reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and environmental performance.

Additional Requirements

Standby cover required on a 1-in-6 Rota basis.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential

  • Level 3 NVQ Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification with certificates.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience in water industry.
  • Strong understanding of pumping station operation and water treatment process.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
