We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with Residential Conveyancing experience who is looking to progress towards a qualification as a Solicitor. There would be an opportunity for the successful candidate to commence the relevant training in 2026. This is an excellent opening for someone who can demonstrate the skills, commitment and potential to develop their career within the firm.

Experience of Residential Conveyancing is essential. This role offers the opportunity to deliver a high-quality service while contributing to the firm’s strong reputation for excellence in residential property work. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fee earners, assisting with and managing a varied caseload of Residential Conveyancing matters.

Responsibilities
  • Managing files under the supervision of a fee earner
  • Assisting with sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages
  • Opening new files in line with the Office Manual and compliance procedures
  • Establishing initial client contact, taking instructions and providing guidance on the conveyancing process
  • Drafting and issuing contract packs and supporting documentation
  • Conducting title checks, searches and raising enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
  • Assisting with exchange of contracts and completion procedures
  • Preparing completion statements and post-completion documentation, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients via telephone, email and correspondence
  • Supporting fee earners in the general conduct of cases, including filing, drafting documents and administrative tasks
  • Staying up to date with developments in residential property law and conveyancing practice
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in Residential Conveyancing
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to post-completion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Completion of the LPC or SQE, with a clear intention to qualify as a Solicitor
  • Experience working towards targets or handling a caseload with supervision
