We are looking for a Solicitor or experienced caseworker to join our highly respected and friendly Court of Protection Welfare team.

Location: Burnley Office / Preston Office. Choice to work from Burnley or Preston Office in a Hybrid role.

About the role:

  • Handling a range of section 16 applications and section 21A challenges.
  • A wide variety of day-to-day tasks such as taking instructions, drafting documents, securing appropriate funding, preparing witness statements, drafting instructions to experts, briefing counsel, attending court and meetings with clients.
  • You will often be working with clients who are very vulnerable.
  • Dealing with interesting and varied caseloads.
  • The opportunity to be involved in wider public law work such as mental health, community care and inquest cases.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in the Court of Protection or transferrable skills from other practice areas.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

Hours: This is a full time role, however part time hours will be considered.
