The role is responsible for providing the business with accurate data and supporting analysis, to assist with day-to-day functionality and key business decisions. In addition, the role will also be required to provide data to various customers, in line with contractual commitments.
Key duties/responsibilities:
- Work closely with various departments across the business to provide necessary MI and reports to support the day-to-day functionality of each department (SO reports, customer MI, invoicing forecasts).
- Proactively deliver impactful data driven insights to support strategic decision making and financial planning including the preparation of monthly reports for the Board.
- Collaborate with various Heads of Departments to create bespoke reporting and scenario modelling and enhance system performance as and when required.
- Play a significant role in supporting the business with large project bids and tenders, providing data and supporting analysis to our Tenders team to assist with pricing and monitoring the development and progress of the project to manage the application for payment process accordingly.
- Take ownership of internal data systems (Datastack, GleanQuote, Sage X3), introducing enhancements, price and product updates, and performing rigorous testing to ensure accurate data and efficient performance.
- Provide monthly reporting to external customers such as AWE, Government Frameworks and MOD as per contractual commitments.
- Partner with our Sustainability team to provide relevant data to support our Scope 1, 2 and 3 commitments.
- Use a combination of system based reporting, and manual intervention, to ensure the timely and accurate calculations of Sales Team bonus on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role (FP&A, Commercial Accountant, Business Analyst), ideally in a FMCG/commodity industry.
- Experience with VBA Editor would be advantageous to assist with Datastack system updates.
- CIMA Qualified.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Previous use of Sage X3.
