Overview
Job Title: Process Operator
Location: Peel Common, Chichester or Budds Farm. You will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence. A company van will be provided.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week (including a 1 in 7 standby)
Salary: Β£27,496.64
Closing Date: 2025-09-03
Ideally you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Hampshire. This role focuses on compliance, technical problem solving, repairing and maintenance in wastewater operations.
You will be part of the frontline operations team at Peel Common; the business cannot operate without you. You will work in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks to ensure the essential functions of our wastewater treatment works and pumping stations operate to protect the environment.
You will manage your own time within a weekly workload and learn to be organized and proactive.
Core Responsibilities
- Pollution sampling/reporting
- Maintenance tasks β unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation
- Monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
- Fault finding and problem-solving to respond to breakdowns
- Site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations
- General site maintenance tasks (H&S issues, site security, cleaning)
- Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Using IT systems to log maintenance tasks and field activities, ensuring safety procedures and regulatory standards
