We're looking for 2 Scrum Masters to join our growing Automation, Digital and Process Improvement capability at Southern Water. These are exciting opportunities to help shape the way we deliver technology and process change across the business. As a Scrum Master, you'll act as a servant leader for agile delivery teams, helping to remove obstacles, drive continuous improvement and ensure our teams are set up to deliver value effectively and sustainably.
While both roles share a common focus on agile delivery, stakeholder engagement and enabling high-performing teams, they support different areas of our transformation agenda:
- Scrum Master – Automation & Process Engineering: supporting the delivery of automation and process improvement initiatives, working closely with developers, process engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and improve operational efficiency.
- Scrum Master – Data Products & Platforms: supporting digital delivery teams responsible for customer, operational or enterprise technology solutions, helping teams deliver scalable products and services that improve outcomes for customers and colleagues.
Whichever team you join, you'll play a key role in fostering agile ways of working, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies and helping teams continuously improve their performance and delivery capability.
- Facilitating agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Coaching teams in agile principles, practices and continuous improvement
- Supporting delivery planning, progress tracking and reporting through tools such as Jira and related agile toolsets
- Helping teams manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
- Driving adoption of agile best practice and fostering a culture of transparency, accountability and learning
Requirements:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe or equivalent)
- Knowledge of DevOps, SRE or modern product delivery practices
- For the Automation & Process Engineering position, experience supporting automation, workflow improvement, Power Platform technologies or business process improvement initiatives would be beneficial.
- For the Data Products & Platforms position, experience supporting software development, product delivery or customer-facing digital platforms would be advantageous.
