About The Role
You will support the Programme Management Office (PMO) within the Smart Programme, helping ensure strong governance, clear reporting, and effective project delivery. This role sits at the centre of programme delivery, working closely with Project Managers, IT, business stakeholders, and external partners. You will play a key role in tracking performance, managing risks, and ensuring projects meet the required standards.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Supporting PMs with project planning, tracking progress, and managing milestones
- Producing clear reporting packs, dashboards, and KPIs for stakeholders and governance boards
- Maintaining programme RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and ensuring timely escalation
- Coordinating governance meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
- Monitoring timelines, resource demand, budgets, and overall delivery performance
- Analyzing programme data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Supporting resource planning, capacity management, and identifying conflicts or gaps

- Hybrid working approach with regular engagement across programme teams
- Occasional attendance at stakeholder or governance meetings
Essential: What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience in PMO, project coordination, or business analysis
- Strong understanding of project management methods (Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Ability to analyze data and produce clear, meaningful reports
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience with portfolio or project management tools
- Knowledge of financial tracking, budgeting, or resource planning
- Experience supporting programme governance or continuous improvement initiatives
