About the role:

The Customer Strategy, Insight and Experience team is responsible for reporting and investigation of issues which improve process for the customer and the company. We provide key facts and insight to empower the wider team to make the right decisions for the right reasons.

This Performance Analyst role (internally will be known as Performance Specialist) is responsible for the provision of performance and management information for and about internal and external stakeholders, related to the Southern Water Wholesale Services Division. General duties include investigating, building, processing, reviewing, analysing and reporting of performance and related issues, as well as supporting on regulatory and process change. Working closely with other roles across the department this role is busy, interesting and diverse.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver timely, fit for purpose, reporting within agreed SLAs.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency of reports to add value and allow for the focus to be on analysing the data rather than processing it.
  • Produce performance reporting from numerous data sources regarding business level performance vs targets and process regulatory performance. This will require you to develop an in-depth knowledge of processes and systems to ensure accuracy across many customer focussed roles.
  • Transform data into clear visualisation to meet the stakeholders needs and allow them to see the complete picture.
  • Support the wider team by providing the information required to make informed decisions on a wide range of topics (including provision of data to external stakeholders such as MOSL, WaterUK and Ofwat).

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Good understanding and working experience of compiling and generating performance reports and management information.
  • Strong data handling, technical skills and experience with information validation using Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Data manipulation skills and experience.
  • Experience working with reporting and analysis packages and extracting data from corporate systems (e.g. Service Now or other CRM’s, Qlikview, Alteryx, Power BI or similar).
  • Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with a range of audiences including peers, senior colleagues and specialists at all levels of the organisation.
