Workday Specialist (Learning & Talent) – Southern Water
Closing Date: 2025-10-31 | Hybrid | 12 months, 37 hrs | Up to £50,000
Southern Water seeks a Workday Learning and Talent Specialist to design, implement, and manage talent and learning initiatives on the Workday platform. The role involves analysing data, creating reporting, and configuring modules to align with the organization’s L&D strategy.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimise Workday Learning and Talent modules to support L&D and talent management programs.
- Oversee Workday Learning system administration, including course creation and reporting.
- Align learning content with organizational objectives and employee development needs.
- Support deployment of performance management programs, talent reviews, and succession planning using Workday tools.
- Analyse data from Learning and Talent modules to provide insights and recommendations for improving learning effectiveness and talent management strategies.
- Develop and generate reports on key metrics (course completion rates, skill development, employee performance, training needs analysis).
- Monitor compliance with required training and certifications and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Support development and implementation of learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, compliance training, and professional development initiatives.
- Coordinate with the learning team to ensure availability of relevant content in Workday.
- Track learning activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all employee training and development activities within the Workday Learning system.
- Provide support to employees and managers on the use of Workday Learning and Talent modules, troubleshooting technical issues.
- Collaborate with wider HR teams to identify and address talent management and development needs.
- Support admin users with training on Workday Learning features, including self‑service tools and report generation.
- Create user guides/SOP for administrators and employees on system navigation.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the use of Workday Learning and Talent features to meet evolving business needs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate learning and talent processes.
- Work with the wide Systems team to implement enhancements and system improvements as necessary.
- Support the twice‑year upgrades including testing and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Workday Learning and Talent Management modules.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and talent development.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional HR and Systems teams.
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
