Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Anywhere along the South Coast region (Kent, Sussex or Hampshire). Requirement to visit the office/sites 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home.

The Waste Network Delivery Manager will lead and oversee a team of Delivery Engineers responsible for governance of the Reactive Maintenance (R&M) Service Partner(s) operating across the sewer network. This role ensures that the team delivers high-quality oversight, technical assessments, and financial governance in line with Southern Water (SW) standards, contract specifications, and health & safety regulations. The post holder will play a key leadership role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring effective performance management of R&M contractors.

You will have demonstrable people management/leadership experience and have a good understanding of Health & Safety Regulations, preferably in highway excavation, along with strong financial acumen.

To be successful in this role, you would need to have:

  • Strong people management and leadership skills, with a proven track record of team development and performance management.
  • Experience in managing or supervising reactive maintenance activities, preferably within wastewater or utilities.
  • Excellent understanding of sewer networks, civils techniques, NRSWA, CDM, and related health and safety legislation.
  • Financial acumen - able to assess, manage, and challenge job costings, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across internal and external parties.
  • High level of IT literacy, including MS Office and work order management/reporting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
