Job Overview
I am excited to be recruiting for a Head of Commercial to join the newly created SLT, reporting into the Major Projects Director. The Head of Commercial (Major Projects) will provide leadership and strategic input across all the schemes within the major project portfolio, bringing commercial awareness, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic direction to the team. The role will provide commercial acumen and key experience of externally financed market delivery and engagement such as Private Finance Initiative and Public-Private partnership schemes to ensure that Southern Waters Direct Procurement for Customers is successful. This is a really exciting opportunity to get involved in some of Southern Water’s most high-profile projects such as the T2ST and SESRO ventures!
About You
We are keen to hear from applicants who have the proven ability to establish and negotiate commercial contractual elements including the PFI style agreements, across the full lifecycle, considering benchmarking, risk analysis and contract compliance. Experience in PPP would be advantageous, as would relevant experience of commercial negotiation and successful financial close of similar multi £100mn contracts within a regulated sector.
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our office in Durrington (Worthing) and home. We are offering a competitive salary depending on skills and experience as well as a £500 monthly car allowance, bonus up to 20%, single cover PMI and other benefits including:
