Field Performance Manager (Weirwood WSW) Location: Office and field based (site visits and meetings in Sussex) Hours: 37 Hours a week Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on skills and experience. As a Field Performance Manager at Southern Water, you will manage a team of 5 who will operate and maintain Weirwood, its reservoir and associated assets (surface water drinking water production). Weirwood is licenced to produce ~22 million litres of water per day, supplying wholesome water to customers in north Sussex throughout the year. Weirwood is undergoing a rebuild, you will therefore also work with industry experts to shape and build new treatment processes to meet increasing regulatory standards and have an active part in it commissioning. The primary purpose of the role is managing, coaching, and mentoring your team to meet and exceed company, regulatory and your own high standards to achieve excellent water quality, health and safety and financial performance. An element of your role will be managing external audits with the Drinking Water Inspectorate and other regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your role as Field Performance Manager is vital to the work that Southern Water does. Using your strong people management skills, you will demonstrate the ability to manage challenging site teams effectively. Water process knowledge would be desirable, however any chemistry or process experience from any other industry would be advantageous. You will be methodical and motivational in your approach to team management and be able to guide performance in their operational areas.
