About The Role

Our Wastewater Treatment Team maintains and repairs wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations, ensuring we are compliant with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Install new plant and equipment as required.
  • Respond to alarms and fault-find issues, fixing or escalating as needed.
  • Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
  • Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
  • Potentially participate in standby cover on a 1-in-6 week rota basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Once trained you may be able to join the standby rota which is a 1-in-6 rota basis.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Experience in water industry.
  • Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
