We are currently recruiting for a Technical Training Lead (internally known as Technical Lead) to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of clean water treatment processes on both ground water and surface water sites for our community of clean water scientists across our region who are responsible for continually monitoring the water that is produced by our operational sites.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that they are trained and assessed in accordance with industry best standards and in accordance with the requirements as set by our regulators. You will be travelling across our operational regions to train and coach by capturing evidence keeping interactions with our field team engaging.

You will be utilising your knowledge of regulatory requirements that affect the provision of wholesome drinking water, including various sample types, the health significance of water quality parameters, and principles of water supply hygiene. Being a confident communicator, your excellent presentation skills will be in use to effectively deliver information to operational and technical teams as well as developing appropriate training material for future reference.

You will be highly organised and interactive in providing onsite assessments of competency ensuring our scientist’s skills and knowledge align with the required standards and conducting bi-annual training needs analysis to identify future training requirements. Your coaching and training skills will be paramount for our new starters, helping them become valuable members of the scientific team.

Therefore it is vital for you to either have a formal qualification in competency assessment or be committed to completing and achieving the qualification to the required standard supported by us. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in working in a process science environment specifically in clean water.

It will be desirable for you to possess a degree in a scientific background however your demonstrable experience in assessing data and applying practical solutions to problems with a sound understanding of water chemistry/biology along with the principles of water treatment will be key!

In this fully empowered role working towards a defined project plan, it is important for you to be poised with strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse audience and in some challenging but productive conversations.
