Southern Water is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Intensive Compliance Lead. This critical role focuses on risk scanning and early intervention across our highest-risk environmental sites, including:
- Bathing waters (in-season)
- SSSI (Sites of Special Scientific Interest)
- Sites flagged for Intensive Care by operational teams
- Wastewater treatment work focused on Final Effluent impact
You’ll be at the forefront of protecting our most sensitive locations, ensuring that emerging risks are identified early and addressed swiftly through coordinated interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead risk scanning activities across designated high-risk sites using data, site information, and environmental indicators.
- Implement and support season focused requirements.
- Develop and maintain a risk profile for each Intensive Compliance entry, to include the exit strategy.
- Coordinate proactive interventions in response to early signs of pollution or environmental stress.
- Collaborate with field teams, process scientists, and wider operations to ensure accountability and timely action.
- Provide weekly updates and insights to Operations and senior stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of our Intensive Compliance strategy through lessons learned and innovation.
Please note this is a shift-based role and you will be expected to work in the Durrington office as part of a shift team.
The shift pattern is:- 3 days, 3 standby shifts, 4 days off
- 4 days, 2 standby shifts, 4 days off
- 1 standby shift, 3 nights, 6 days off
- 1 standby shift, 4 nights, 7 days off
