About the role

Join our Wastewater Treatment Team to maintain and repair wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations. Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment, including motors, starters, and variable speed drives.
  • Install new plant and equipment as required, ensuring safe integration of electrical systems such as drives and motor control setups.
  • Respond to alarms and fault‐find issues on electrical assets, fixing or escalating as needed.
  • Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams and external contractors, particularly around motor control and automation equipment.
  • Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
  • Potential to participate in standby cover on a 1-in-7 rota basis.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential

  • Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience in water industry.
  • Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
