The Architecture Analyst supports the effective operation of the Architecture function by ensuring governance processes run smoothly, architecture data is accurate and aligned, and architecture tooling and repositories are maintained. Working under general direction, the role plans and delivers defined work packages, proactively manages stakeholder needs, and escalates risks and issues where required. The role enables the Architecture team to operate efficiently by managing artefacts, tracking actions, maintaining data quality, and supporting continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Governance Coordination
    • Coordinate architecture governance forums (agenda, scheduling, materials, minutes)
    • Track decisions, actions, and outcomes from governance forums
    • Perform first-line assurance checks to ensure governance artefacts are complete, consistent and accessible; escalate exceptions as required
  • Architecture Repository Management
    • Maintain the architecture repository (e.g. Orbus Infinity or equivalent)
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of applications, integrations, and relationships
    • Manage onboarding and updates of architecture artefacts, assuring completeness and consistency before publication
  • Data Quality & Alignment
    • Ensure alignment between architecture data, CMDB, and other enterprise data sources
    • Lead investigation of data inconsistencies across tools and teams and coordinate remediation with data owners and tool administrators
    • Implement routine data-quality controls (e.g. completeness checks, lifecycle status validation, duplicates) and track remediation to closure
    • Produce regular reporting on architecture metrics (e.g. lifecycle, technical debt, risk), highlighting trends, exceptions and data-quality issues for governance forums
    • Define and maintain standard metric definitions and data rules (measures/KPIs, thresholds, reference data) to support consistent reporting and decision-making
    • Develop and maintain architecture MI dashboards and reports (e.g. in Power BI), including defined measures/KPIs, data refresh routines, and clear stakeholder-ready visualisations.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement
    • Support the definition, adoption and continuous improvement of architecture processes, templates and ways of working
    • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
    • Maintain and prioritise a rolling backlog of repository improvements, reporting requirements and data fixes, agreeing priorities with the Lead Solution Architect
    • Help embed consistent ways of working across the architecture team
  • Operational Support
    • Track architecture deliverables and commitments
    • Support preparation of materials for governance and stakeholder engagement
    • Provide general operational support to ensure smooth running of the architecture function

Skills & Competencies

  • Information Management – Maintains architecture information and ensures its quality and integrity.
  • Configuration Management – Supports alignment between architecture repository and service/configuration data.
  • Governance – Enables governance processes through coordination and tracking.
  • Methods and Tools – Supports architecture tools, templates, and processes.
  • Reporting & Data Visualisation (Power BI) – Builds and maintains dashboards and standard reports from architecture and service data; supports data validation and communicates insights to enable decision-making.
  • Quality Management – Ensures quality and consistency of architecture data and artefacts.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management – Builds effective working relationships with delivery teams and tool/data owners to agree updates, resolve issues and embed consistent ways of working.

Knowledge

  • Experience in architecture, PMO, service management, or similar support function
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Experience working with tools such as Orbus Infinity, CMDB, or similar repositories
  • Experience producing MI and dashboards using Power BI (or equivalent reporting tools)
  • High attention to detail and strong data management capability
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and follow-up discipline

Onsite a minimum of 2 days per week in Durrington office.
