About the role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will support the delivery and improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure across our region. From day one, you will be part of project teams working on real engineering challenges, contributing to safe, sustainable, and high-quality outcomes. This role is designed to help you build a strong technical foundation, develop professional confidence, and gain experience across a range of engineering activities. You will work alongside experienced engineers and specialists, with access to structured learning, mentoring, and development opportunities to support your progression.

- Support the design, planning and delivery of civil engineering projects
- Contribute to technical assessments, reporting and documentation
- Assist with site visits and surveys, gaining practical, real-world experience
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including operational, commercial and project delivery colleagues

- Build knowledge of engineering solutions within the water and wastewater sector

About you
We welcome applications from a recent MEng/BEng graduate in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. You will demonstrate:

- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Essential requirements
- A degree (or expected degree) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- If not already a driver, you’ll need to be willing to learn how to drive and have access to a car, as travel will be required. Where appropriate, we can support you with driving lessons and your driving test as part of your development.

Working arrangements and travel
This role is based in Falmer with hybrid working options. Travel to sites across the region will be required as part of your role. Support and guidance will be provided to enable safe and effective travel.
