Join Our Team We're looking for an experienced Maximo Application Specialist to join our Wholesale Platforms Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the management, support, development, and optimisation of the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) platform, helping drive business value across our organisation and partner network.

As our subject matter expert for Maximo, you'll be responsible for ensuring the platform remains reliable, secure, and fit for the future.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, suppliers, and technology partners to enhance application functionality, deliver integrations, support operational users, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Alongside Maximo, you'll support a portfolio of connected technologies including integrations, databases, monitoring tools, mobile applications, and wider Wholesale business systems.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide expert application support, maintenance, and administration for the Maximo Application Suite and associated applications.
  • Manage and enhance the Maximo infrastructure, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions and system enhancements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Maximo-related issues and initiatives.
  • Work with application vendors and third-party suppliers to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Design, develop, configure, test, and document application changes, integrations, automation solutions, and system enhancements.
  • Support the delivery of Maximo-related projects from design through to implementation.
  • Develop and execute testing activities to ensure high-quality application releases.
  • Implement new software releases, upgrades, and enhancements, including configuration, testing, and integration activities.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve business processes and maximise the value delivered by Maximo.
  • Support and maintain databases and reporting infrastructure associated with business applications.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical and functional documentation.
  • Deliver user training and knowledge transfer to specialist Maximo users where required.
  • Develop and support application integrations and process automation solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and technology functions.
  • Ensure all work aligns with established architectural principles, governance standards, and development methodologies.
  • What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience supporting, administering, and configuring Maximo Application Suite (MAS) v8/v9.
  • Strong understanding of MAS Architecture, including Red Hat Open Shift containerisation and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Expert functional knowledge of: Asset Management Work Management Inventory Management Purchasing Experience with Maximo Monitor, Health, Predict, and Mobile.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Experience developing and supporting REST and SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience administering and maintaining large-scale Maximo datasets and governance processes.
  • Proficiency in: Automation Scripts Python/Jython Java Script YAML XML Strong database knowledge across DB2, SQL, and Oracle.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Experience delivering support services within an asset management application environment.
  • Experience managing system governance, data quality, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within the Water or Wastewater industry.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Understanding of digital and enterprise system architecture.
  • Experience with mobile workforce or field service applications.
