We’re seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager who demonstrates our HEART values: Honest, Efficient, Accountable, Respectful and Trusted/Trustworthy and who is motivated by continuous improvement. You’ll lead the Security Operations team, strengthen our approach to incident response and threat management, and embed better ways of working through clear processes, practical training and collaborative leadership as One Team.
The role is based at our Farringdon office, with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days a week in the office and also travel to our Sittingbourne office once a month for team days.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitor regulatory compliance with security policies and educate the organisation on compliance efforts.
- Ensure documented processes exist for all operational security workstreams, prioritising incident response procedures including runbooks for specific threat types e.g. Ransomware, Malware etc.
- Manage IT security incidents, investigations, and reports.
- Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat management.
- Lead and mentor a team of Security Operations Analysts.
- Ensure timely resolution of security incidents and service requests.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in managing a technical team.
- Hands-on experience of using Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Mimecast.
- Experience of dealing with cyber security incident response and post-incident reporting.
- Ability to build on the organisation’s cyber security training.
- Demonstrate reliability in executing assigned tasks.
- Strong experience developing a high functioning team, setting goals, and effectively communicating expectations.
