We are looking for a Contracts and Partnerships Officer to join our Supported Housing (Partnerships) Team here at Southern Housing. You will provide customer-focused services across the Partnerships portfolio, including delivery of intensive housing management to residents in supported housing schemes and homes across the community. You will be the principal point of contact with Managing Agents, managing contracts and relationships to support vulnerable people living in our homes. You will ensure residents across the portfolio receive high-quality customer-focused services to achieve sustainable communities.
You will be required to be visible and work a minimum of 4 days in an office or scheme location, to meet resident and business needs across London and Kent.
Location
This role can be based out of our Sittingbourne office in Kent. You will have a designated place of work, either in one of our main offices or a hub/scheme office. Travel between sites across London and Kent will be a requirement for this role.
What you'll be doing
- Provide an effective intensive housing management service for residents with identified support needs, working with external support providers, commissioners and other partners within relevant legislation, regulation and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Carry out void management including pre-void inspections, obtaining referrals, assessing applicant suitability, completing risk assessments as necessary, tenancy fraud checks, affordability assessments, viewings, sign-ups, completing CORE and updating the tenancy management systems.
- Manage and investigate tenancy breaches using informal and formal interventions. Start court action for ASB, debt, crime or nuisance issues and authorise notice to quit or notice to seek possession, liaise with our solicitors, prepare the court papers, attend court hearings, draft the eviction report and complete the eviction process.
- Complete property inspections across our supported housing schemes every fortnight or more frequently, to quality assure property condition and undertake call point testing, legionella testing, fire drills and health and safety inspections as required.
You’ll need
- Experience of working in supported housing or similar.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and able to travel in a geographic location.
- Understanding of social housing health and safety requirements.
- Experience of working with a variety of partners, including local authorities, care and support providers, managing agents.
