We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for providing quality services to adults with learning disabilities to join our team at our registered care home in Ryde, Isle of Wight as a Learning Disability Worker. Please note this is a full-time role working 35 hours per week on a rota basis (including weekends and sleep-ins).
As a Learning Disability Worker, you'll have a hands-on approach to caring for our residents, working as part of a team to support people to maintain independence and have better opportunities to get involved within the local community. This is a truly rewarding role where you'll play many parts within our residents' lives.
What you'll have:
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Empathy, compassion and patience
- Good written communication and numeracy skills
- Basic IT skills
- Able to work both as part of a team and also unsupervised
