We’re looking for a motivated and capable individual to join our team as an Intelligence Analyst in our Building Safety Data & Analytics Team and play a key role in Southern Housing’s Building & Fire Safety Transformation Programme. Reporting to the Head of Building Safety Data & Analytics, you’ll use data, insight and analysis to identify risks, trends, data issues and improvement opportunities across Building Safety, Fire Safety and Asset Compliance. Your work will help strengthen compliance, assurance, risk management and decision-making across our 77,000 homes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining and managing a programme of strategic improvement activity, ensuring priorities, dependencies and outcomes are clearly aligned and communicated
- Identifying emerging risks, trends, data issues and gaps in controls
- Undertaking root cause analysis and translating findings into practical improvements
- Using complex data to produce clear insights, recommendations and actions
- Driving improvements in data quality, governance, assurance and safety-critical information management
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by working with stakeholders to define requirements and support business change.
This role is based at London, with hybrid working arrangements. All arrangements will be agreed with your manager.
About You
We’re looking for someone who have a good understanding of data governance, risk management and relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety legislation alongside experience working with building information systems, property databases and asset management systems.
You’ll bring proven experience in:
- Developing and managing improvement plans, including priorities, dependencies, progress and outcomes
- Building Safety, Fire Safety, Asset Compliance, property data, regulatory compliance or similar operational data environments
- Analysing complex data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities
- Undertaking root cause analysis and translating findings into practical, measurable improvements
- Managing improvement plans, priorities and dependencies
- Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and support change
- Using Power BI / Microsoft Fabric, Excel or similar tools to interrogate data, develop insight and support reporting improvements
